Bonjour

Sorry but that is almost the full extent of my French.I am hoping that all my European friends are more educated than me, and can understand English.

My intention is to build the Tornado using a Villiers 3T 325cc two stroke twin engine. This engine is my choice because I have had it in my shed for about 10 years. It is brand new and has never been run yet. My concern is that it may not be powerfull enough for the craft. The rated horsepower is 18hp. I am considering running a multiblade fan directly from the crankshaft.

I would apreciate any advise which anyone can give

ah ok, you ask about holes from bag-skirt.

so :
Do not increase back and left side and right side.

but you can increase do 65-> 75->85->95->105->115
the holes in the front.

You need to testing.

Looking at page 14 from file tornadopointu.pdf the holes for hull is 50mm in the back increase to 110mm in the front, it's similar for the bag-skirt.

you can also use a colored water tube for measurement about pression

Thank you very much for your help and interest.

I have no problem with the airbag. Airbag is OK. Hovercraft floats well.

I have a problem with obtaining proper thrust. Thrust is weak.

Tomorrow I'll do a test on the water.
I'll send pictures and video.

Je n'ai aucun problème avec l'airbag. Airbag est OK. Aéroglisseur flotte bien.

J'ai un problème avec l'obtention de poussée adéquate. La poussée est faible.

Demain, je vais faire un test sur l'eau.
Je vais envoyer des photos et vidéo.

NON, je pense que vous n'avez pas un bon coussin !!

Faites ce qu'on vous propose avant de modifier trop de choses.

Les trous sont trop petits, résultat : l'aéroglisseur ce lève très bien, mais la fuite entre le sol et la jupe n'est pas suffisante.
Donc sur une surface plane (béton) ça fonctionne mais sur l'herbe non.

La propulsion n'est pas en cause et avec une bonne sustentation, un simple coup de vent doit faire bouger votre aéroglisseur.
