Justin Mawtus, adjoint au responsable des lancements, a déclaré : "La baie a des marées rapides qui sont un danger en elles-mêmes. Toute personne qui s'aventure dans la baie doit connaître les horaires des marées et rester près du rivage".

Upon arrival of the Inshore Lifeboat the crew made to the lone male who was cut off by the tide and waited with him until the arrival of the Hovercraft. The male was safely transferred to the Hovercraft who then in turn made back to the shore and left him in the safety of HM Coastguard.

Justin Mawtus Deputy Launch Authority said “The bay has fast in coming tides which are a danger in themselves. Anyone who does venture out on the bay they need to be aware of the tide times and stick close to the shore”."
